Forum: GratefulDead Subject: uttter dissapointment

HI guys, It's my first post and I'm shure to ruffle a few feathers here. First off I will say the Dead were and still
one of my favorite groups ever. w/ saying that, I've seen some shows, well they weren't. I have a very simple theory on them and it goes as follows. Firstly you either like them or don't, theres' no wiggle room here because they were not a radio friendly band like the Eagles.Secondly
when they were good they were the best at what they did and a great time was had by all.But when they were bad they were horrible.I'm talking third song first set you knew it wasn't going to get better. Even Lesh has said we blow the big ones and he's so right. Now the search for the
perfect sound. Nonsense, I heard the WOS system and I was not impressed. Sound go talk to Pink Floyd's audio guys. This is frustrating,no I haven't seen them hundreds of times but 28 is enough to judge. Also if I didn't think magic could happen I never would give any band so many chances.
So where do I stand, I love em But they also can just be a big waist of time.My time seening them stretched from app
70-89 lots of changes yes. Free shows YES bargin in entertainment time wise YES New Year shows YES. I'm one conflicted dude.
